KONAMIは、全世界累計販売本数が6360万本を超える「ウイニングイレブン」シリーズの最新作「ワールドサッカーウイニングイレブン 2011」を、PS3／Xbox 360／Wii／PSP／PS2とマルチプラットフォームで発売する。
PS3／Xbox 360版では、ゲーム操作により自由度が与えられており、例えばパス操作では、方向はもちろん、強弱も自由にコントロール可能に。また、ドリブル操作では、きめ細かなボールタッチで、ステップでも“かわす”ことが可能になった。グラフィックの大幅な強化をはじめ、1300種類以上のモーションの追加により、選手の動きがよりリアルになり、新たに追加した無回転シュートなども実際に放つことができる。
さらに、ファンからの要望が多かった、「マスターリーグ」モードをオンラインに対応させた「マスターリーグオンライン」や、南米最強のクラブチームを決定する「コパ・リベルタドーレス」を搭載したのも特筆ものだ。

PS3では、ゲーム機本体との同梱版「ウイニングイレブン2011 バリューPACK」（3万9980円、10月28日発売）も予定している。
