　エレクトロニック・アーツは、プレイステーション 3/Xbox 360用ソフト「バトルフィールド ３」の日本語版を11月2日に発売する。価格は7665円。

　全世界で累計3000万本の売上を達した「バトルフィールド」シリーズの最新作で、今年ロサンゼルスで開催されたE3（Electronic Entertainment Expo）でGame Critic Awards の最高アクションゲーム賞や最高オンライン・マルチプレイヤー賞を含む46のアワードを受賞し、32のノミネートを受けた作品。

　予約特典の「Back to Karkand」には、Strike at Karkand、Wake Island、Gulf of Oman、Sharqi Peninsulaという4つのマップを収録し、「バトルフィールド 2」で好評を得た武器や搭乗兵器、トロフィーなどが勢ぞろいしている。
