2008-2009シーズンの結果がゲームに反映――「FIFA 09」に新機能「ADIDASライブ・シーズン」を搭載

　エレクトロニック・アーツ（以下、EA）は、ドイツで開催された「Games Convention 2008」において、EA SPORTSのサッカーゲームシリーズ最新作「FIFA 09」に搭載される、現実のサッカーとゲームの世界のパフォーマンスを週ごとにリンクさせてアップデートする新機能「ADIDASライブ・シーズン」を発表した。

　本機能は、バークレイズ・プレミアリーグ（イングランド）、リーガ・エスパニョーラ（スペイン）、リーグ・アン（フランス）、ブンデスリーガ（ドイツ）、セリエA（イタリア）とプリメーラ・ディビジョン（メキシコ）の2008-2009年シーズンの試合の結果が、毎週プレイステーション 3、Xbox 360、PC版にアップデートされるというもの。

　「ADIDASライブ・シーズン」では、実在するサッカー選手が実際にプレイした最新の試合をもとに、選手やチームのパフォーマンスをゲームプレイに反映させる。実際の選手の調子がプレイヤーのチームを左右する要素の1つになる。

　ADIDASライブ・シーズンはFIFA 09が起動した際に自動的にダウンロードされる。プレイヤーは、ゲーム購入時から2008年-2009年シーズンが終了するまでトライアルで好きな1リーグを利用することができる。

　「FIFA 09」の体験版は、ワールドワイドで9月11日にPLAYSTATION NETWORKとXbox LIVEにて配信予定。日本国内での「FIFA 09」体験版の配信日は、後日発表となる。
