その迫力に圧倒される！ ロンドン自然史博物館主催・自然写真コンテストの受賞作品が発表

人間なんてちっぽけな存在なんだなぁ。

　英ロンドン自然史博物館が主催する、自然写真コンテスト「Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017」（関連記事）の受賞作品が発表されました。

　50年以上の歴史を持つ同コンテスト。今回も全世界92カ国から、プロ・アマチュア問わず約5万件の応募があったとのこと。最優秀賞には、フォトジャーナリストであるBrent Stirton氏の作品「Memorial to a species」が選ばれました。これは、ツノの国際的な違法取引によって絶滅の危機にひんしているクロサイが、密猟によって命を落とした場面を撮影した作品です。

　受賞作品にはこの他、リラックスした表情を見せるニシローランドゴリラや、若干5歳半の少女によって撮影された躍動感あふれるカモメ、タカアシガニの大群など、野生動物や自然が見せる生きる姿や、一瞬の表情を捉えた写真の数々が並びます。
